Dec 20 2022: Walking in the Air for Christmas with Westbourne young musicians

THE young musical stars of tomorrow took centre stage as Westbourne School celebrated Christmas with a special concert at St Mark’s Church in Broomhill.

Year 3 to 6 pupils who make up a string ensemble at the Broomhill independent school performed a new version of Christmas classic Walking in the Air.

And they were joined by other children for a performance of Christmas Blues and an atmospheric rendition of seasonal anthem Thankful Heart from The Muppet Christmas Carol - complete with puppets!

“This really was a great celebration of the best of Christmas and one that everybody enjoyed enormously,” said Westbourne Junior School Head Jon Clark.

“We’d like to say thank you to all the Westbourne families who came to celebrate with us!”
