Jul 03 2020: A Roundabout Race Night - that’s something to sing about!

YOU might not want to risk a day at the races…but you can still have a fun flutter with South Yorkshire young people’s homelessness charity Roundabout!

Roundabout's fundraising and events programme has been affected by Coronavirus but the charity’s fundraising team has come up with a selection of virtual events to add fun to lockdown.

The team has put together a downloadable guide offering tips and advice on organising a stay at home race night playing for points not cash, complete with a slideshow to share with participants on the night.

Another suggestion is a virtual talent show, a chance for the whole family to enjoy the X Factor spirit and unleash their inner girl/boy band style.

Again, there’s a downloadable guide which takes all the hard work out of getting the show on the road.

“Our virtual Race Night and Talent Show have been created to help our supporters have fun during these difficult times, stay connected with friends and family as well as raising funds to help support some of South Yorkshire’s most vulnerable young people,” said Roundabout Events Fundraiser Emily Bush.

“With all our major fundraising activities currently on hold, hosting your own virtual event really could make a massive difference to the lives of vulnerable young people who need our help more than ever before.”
