Jun 30 2016: OVO Spaces - the new name for award winning Structural Interiors
OVO Spaces…it’s the new name for a new era with award winning Sheffield company Structural Interiors!
Structural Interiors was originally established by David and Alex Baldwin in 1992 as a specialist ‘clean room’ construction developer serving medical and high tech industry sectors.
The company quickly evolved, however, becoming an award winning one stop fit out specialist on design led projects for a range of leading companies, providing concept to conclusion building transformations for a wide range of customers in the commercial, industrial, retail and public sectors.
Recent clients have included Adtrak, Airship, Firth Rixson, Saint-Gobain, Carrs @ Harrods and Wake Smith.
And now, after more than 20 years of successful trading, the company is moving into a new era of expansion that is providing the perfect opportunity for a major rebrand.
“The Structural Interiors designation is very well recognised but for those less familiar with our background the name paints a far more immediately industrial mind picture than the type of projects we now specialise in,” said Managing Director David Baldwin.
“Our new brand is Ovo Spaces, from the Latin for egg, and it is clean, clear, stylish and captures the fact that the simplicity and excellence associated with the egg shape reflects our approach to the delivery of top class project solutions.
“The new identity was born out of the desire to have an identity which allows us to further develop without the inherent limitations associated with our previously market secure targeted trading name.”
At the same time, though, David stressed that he would be retaining the original legal company name and number as Structural Interiors Ltd.
“Ovo Spaces provides a simple but easily recognised symbol, so essential in today’s social media led marketing and breathes fresh life into the way we present our services to customers old and new,” he said.
“We also feel that it is a great time to launch a name that the younger members of our team will be happy to take into the future, providing a fantastic foundation for successful growth.”
The concept for the rebrand has been developed by Gerry Arcari of Vivid Creative, whose workspace at the historic Globe Works, near Kelham Island, was created by David’s team.
“Having worked with us previously as a client, Gerry understood fully and at first hand our approach to workspace design and was able to incorporate that into his vision for our future,” said David.
“We also feel that it is extremely important that business within the City Region should support each other, creating a strong and effective network for development.”
