PICK up a post Christmas bargain with city homeless charity Emmaus Sheffield.
Emmaus Sheffield is the project where people who were formerly homeless can find somewhere safe and welcoming to live and rediscover their dignity and self-pride through being part of a working community geared towards becoming self-sufficient through social enterprise.
One of its principal fundraisers is its extremely popular second hand furniture and bric-a-brac store at the Emmaus headquarters at the historic Sipelia Works in Cadman Street, close to Sheffield’s Canal Basin.
The shop will close at 12.30pm on Christmas Eve and will not open on Christmas Day or Boxing Day or on January 1 or 2.
But at all other times over the holiday period the shop will be open between 11am and 4pm.
“Calling on and picking up a bargain at Emmaus would make a refreshing change from the January Sales,” said the charity’s Retail Manager Charley Fedorenko.
“And if you’re calling in, don’t forget to bring along any unwanted Christmas gifts.
“Just because you don’t want that book, CD, DVD or ornament doesn’t mean that somebody else won’t appreciate it.”
