May 12 2012: Shopping boom at Crystal Peaks

CRYSTAL Peaks Shopping Mall enjoyed a recession beating Easter.

During the first week of the Easter break the Sheffield shopping complex saw footfall increase by 20 per cent over the same period last year.

And the second week of the holiday continued the pattern with a 17 per cent increase.

The figures reflect the increasing popularity of Crystal Peaks, which attracted a footfall of 10,758,882 throughout 2011, representing a year on year growth of 2.9 per cent.

“We are delighted that are visitor figures are continuing to grow in this way,” said Centre Manager Lee Greenwood.

“We do feel our Easter success was largely due to the great selection of family events we had arranged for the holiday period, including a petting zoo, Easter Egg hunt and craft workshops.

“But it’s also reflects the great range of shops that are now well established at Crystal Peaks.

“We are a real community shopping centre, offering a fantastic range of shops, an extremely popular indoor market and great value and choice.

“And our free parking and excellent public transport links are another major attraction.”
