Jan 07 2010: Louise proves she’s a woman of steel!

SOUTH Yorkshire businesswoman Louise Oliver is proving that South Yorkshire’s businesswomen have the steel to make it in a tough economic climate.
Louise, one half of financial planning company The Taylor Oliver Partnership, was invited to London’s Churchill Hotel to speak to the British Association of Women Entrepreneurs.
The BAWE is a non-profit professional organisation for UK based women business owners affiliated to the world association of women business owners, Les Femmes Chefs d'Entreprises Mondiales.
The President of BAWE and Council members promote British entrepreneurship world wide, with representation at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg and at the United Nations in New York.
Louise, who is currently BAWE vice president, spoke to the London meeting on a theme of Women of Steel.
“I was saying that we are all women of steel and we should remind ourselves of the pioneers!” she said.
“It may be a tough time economically but it’s also an important time for women entrepreneurs to make their mark in a competitive market.
“Equally important for me was the fact that I was able to use the occasion to spread the word about Sheffield and how many businesses are responding with determination and courage to the current climate.”
