Jan 07 2010: Surviving Christmas debt

SOUTH Yorkshire insolvency experts Moorhead Savage are offering a free emergency helpline to people struggling with debt in the wake of the Christmas festivities.
It’s in the period straight after the festivities that many people realise how damaging their Christmas spending has been.
But licensed insolvency practitioner Paul Moorhead says that with the right guidance and advice there should be no need to panic.
“Families will be under a lot of pressure this Christmas,” Paul said. “The effect of the credit crunch generally means that people might have seen a drop in income and Christmas spending just adds to the debt burden of many.
“There is a lot of pressure on people to provide nice things for the family and even the most prudent households can see their spending at this time of the year push them over the edge.”
Paul’s 24-hour emergency Christmas helpline will offer free and impartial advice on the best way to tackle debt and credit problems in the New Year.
To speak to Paul call 01709 331300.
