Oct 15 2009: Victory for Assured Fire and Security

NAVAL security both past and present has been given a major upgrade by South Yorkshire’s Assured Fire and Security.
The Dinnington-based company installed and commissioned a hard-wired and radio fire alarm system for the Royal Navy at HMS Victory, Nelson’s celebrated flagship, and its associated stores on base in Portsmouth.
And the project was such a great success that Assured were recently brought back in again for extensive upgrading work on the whole base, including a new fire alarm system worth several thousand pounds.
“We were very proud to have been commissioned to work on something as historically important as HMS Victory,” said Assured managing director Simon Stokes.
“To be invited back, though, was equally important and we are delighted to be able to strengthen our links with the Royal Navy in this way.”
